Amanda attended the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. She graduated in 2006 and has been treating in the Kitchener-Waterloo region going into her 10th year. She has extended experience in working with conditions such as postural stress, repetitive strain, whiplash (motor vehicle accidents), pregnancy, fibromyalgia, everyday aches and pains, and general stress reduction.
Amanda’s approach to treatment is to try and figure out the root cause of the dysfunction. She loves the challenge that sometimes comes with more complicated cases, as she enjoys problem-solving.
She bases her treatment on a structure/function relationship and treats accordingly. But still aims to have a relaxation component that makes it enjoyable.
Amanda has taken other courses in Muscle Energy, Electrotherapy (Tens machine), Hot stone, NISA (level 1), Acupressure (level 2) and is currently attending the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in Hamilton. (3rd year of 4-year program)
When away from the clinic…
Amanda loves to eat, go winter hiking, swimming, running, and travel is an especially huge passion for her.
